The Scalloway Boating Club sits on the waterfront on one of Shetland’s most historic harbours and continues a long tradition of maritime life in the village.

The Club is community-run and welcomes locals, boat users, visiting sailors and anyone looking for a friendly social space.
Throughout the year the SBC hosts various events such as music gigs, rowing and sailing regattas, Eelas, darts & pool competitions and availability for private hiring of the venue. Income from memberships, visitor stay and events is reinvested into maintaining the building, improving facilities and more. Whether you’re a local member, visitor arriving by sea or just stopping by for an event, the Scalloway Boating Club aims to provide a welcoming, friendly and relaxed space.
Halloween at the Boating Club with Marackled
Join us at Scalloway Boating Club for a Halloween night with live music from Marackled, a popular local covers band from Lerwick playing a brilliant mix of hits from across seven decades.
Come along in your Halloween best and enjoy a great night of music, drinks and dancing.
Tickets:
Members: £10
Non-members: £15
Members must log in before buying tickets to access the discounted members’ price.
Existing Members & Online Accounts
We are currently setting up all existing Scalloway Boating Club members within the new website and membership system.
Some members may not currently have an email address linked to their account. Memberships can still be added manually, so nobody will lose access to the club.
However, to use the online member area, make bookings, reset passwords and receive future digital updates, members will need a valid email address connected to their account.
If you would like help getting your online account set up, or need your details updated, please contact the club and we will be happy to assist.

For people who have already provided their email address for the new Scalloway Boating Club.
Your account is either already set up all you have to do is go to the login page and click ‘Forgot Password’, then enter email you registered with and you will be sent a reset password email. Follow the instructions in there.

Website Update
Our website is back online following a recent technical issue.
Members can continue to access the website, and existing memberships, mooring bookings, raffle orders and ticket numbers are all accounted for.
We’re carrying out a few final updates, so some online booking and payment services may be temporarily unavailable.
